Oh, your kidding! Next you'll say that Neil Patrick Harris is Gay. I was watching The Regis & Kelly show at my Mom's house. (she had it on what could I do?) Kelly stated that she dreams about Anderson Cooper. My mom said that Kelly's husband better watch out. I told her that AC is Gay and she said that I think everyone is gay and she heard he has a wife and children. She doesn't believe I am gay even though I have never dated a girl since I was in high school. (I only dated a girl because I wanted to fit in but never even kissed her) Ted
Lindsay Lohand claiming to own the name Lindsay is the biggest travesty of justice since the Oscars overlooked Dame Bea Arthur when they honored those who passed away last year. Ted
I didn't like his character on Wil and Grace. The character was a poor example of the worst type of gay: vapid, shallow, selfish, materialistic ....hey wait, that sounds like me. Nevermind!
Carl, that's exactly what I thought!! I HATED Jack McFarland with a passion. As you said, he had all the worst traits of the urban twink: vapid, selfish, shallow, materialistic, and let's not forget, a LOT less funny and talented than he thought he was.
The worst part of it, though, was that I saw so many young queens watching the show and imitating him because they thought his catty behaviour was merely an entertaining joke, instead of off-putting and alienating, as it proved to be in real life.
And 10 years on, I've run across some of those formerly-cute bright young things, and they're not looking so cute and perky anymore. And that's MY secret pleasure.
(What can I say? I'm a spiteful old bitch, and not sorry for it.)
One more thing: can I SAY how much I loved Eileen Brennan ("Zara") when she called him out and wiped the floor with him? ("You're the most untalented actor I've ever had in my class! And you turned DOWN a paying job in a profession with 98 percent unemployment?? You go back there and BEG them to hire you back, you ass monkey!!")

ReplyDeleteAnderson Cooper does not have a wife and children--that's what fuels the "gay" rumors (which, not to sound band-wagony, appear to be true).
ReplyDeleteBut people believe what it's convenient to believe, I guess...human nature!
