Life Just Became A Little Rosier...

Here's why. After years and years of waiting, it's finally arrived...

Yes, that's right. "Maude," the complete first season, is now on DVD! Well, for pre-order anyway. I ordered mine tonight from Amazon. It says that the estimated shipping date is tomorrow, which I don't think will happen, since it's a "pre-order" item. (That means they don't have it yet, but expect it in shortly.)

But it's enough to know that I WILL receive it. Yes! Finally I get to see it all over again! The show that turned me gay! (Well, at least it confirmed it.)

I loved Maude too. "Isadora was the first bra burner ain't you glad she showed up. And when the country was falling apart Betsy Ross got it all sewed up...Then there's Maude...Then there's Maude." She started out on All in the Family. With her Archie Bunker met his match. I wonder what took them so long to put it out on DVD? That must be why Bea Arthur is going to be on the View tomorrow.

Bea Arthur's gonna be on "The View?!" DAMN, I wish I had Tivo!! Oh, well, they'll show it again and probably have downloads available on ABC or something.

Bea is the best... I saw her one woman show at the Park West years ago... she completely shocked the blue hairs who came from the burbs to she her; she told all these filthy stories about blow jobs, gay sex, etc...

I hope this season sells well... my friend Dan who works at Sony said that they are really only planning to put out the first two seasons.

I didn't get to see the View today either. Bea Arthur was on it though along with Adrienne Bigboobs or what ever her name is.

I saw that show too, Johnny. Great stuff. I tried to get her autograph after the show, but the bouncers wouldn't let me near her car. Sad. Me and my family would usually watch her show together. Maude and Police Woman.

I have her one-woman show "Just Between Friends" on CD. (I love the story about the actress with hygiene problems...)

My family watched "Maude" together, but my mom hates Angie Dickinson, so I watched "Police Woman" by myself. :-)

I never liked Angie Dickinson either but I liked that rough and tough Earl Holliman so I watched it religously.

I wasn't a regular viewer of MAUDE.

Mostly because I was living with the real deal.

Maude was EXACTLY like my Grandma Dorothy (only Grandma wasn't quite as liberal). Otherwise, EXACTLY--the same clothes, the same hairdo, and, yes, the EXACT SAME VOICE...

Grandma was a little shorter than Bea, but just as formidable. No cussing in Grandma's house! (Except by her!)
