Attorney General (for now) Alberto Gonzales continues to stonewall and smirk his way through hearings with the Senate Judiciary Committee today. If he weren't part of President Bush's plutocracy, he wouldn't look and act so smug. Everyone (especially Arlen Specter and Charles Schumer) knows this guy's a slimy liar. Look at that smart-ass grin. Don't you want to smack it right off of him?
The good news is that the wolves are circling the Bush camp. He and his nitroglycerin-popping buddy Dick Cheney have managed to skate away scot-free on nearly every count, but dumb luck can't hold forever. Not even when you're as dumb as Bush.
Let's keep putting the pressure on our elected officials to start actually representing us (instead of sucking up and compromising, Nancy Pelosi) and hold them accountable. They will have an opportunity very soon to cite the White House for contempt, and they'd better do it.

Amen!!! The whole lot of those Bushies reminds me of a line from an old ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW episode where this mean a nice little family has fallen on hard times and are late paying their mortgage and the mean, old property owner demands that the full balance of their mortgage be paid in full in a few days or they will lose their home.
Andy watches the mean, old man walk away and says...
"You know, Barney, when it comes that man's time to go, he ain't gonna go like everybody else. He's just gonna NASTY away."
All those Bushies will DEFINITELY "Nasty Away" when they die. It won't be pretty.
Their actions belie the "Christianity" that they've affected to gain the favor of the Religious (not)Right--which proves how sincere their faith really is.
They remind ME of the Andy Griffith Show where Aunt Bee made those awful pickles for the county fair. Because they're all a bunch of old sourpusses!
The bushies remind me of the Andy Griffith episode were Opie shot a bird and then tried to hide it. As my mom says it all comes out in the wash.
I listened to about three hours of the hearing yesterday. His smug avoiding answers were amazing in their arrogance. But it was fun hearing him get called out again and again.
I hope that this is the beginning of the end... but I somehow think they are all going to walk away with big book deals and you'll be seeing all of these assholes on one of those speech tours with Donald Trump.
Well, they couldn't pick more appropriate company, then...he's the anti-Christ.
