PTL! Talk about throwing one's weight around!!
Emma just doesn't understand that every woman in England during the time set in the film were perfect in size and shape. I'm sure they all had perfect teeth too. Ed
I've always thought she was a class act.
How nice to know I was right.
Gregory: Isn't it awesome? It's time someone put a stop to this shit. That actress isn't even the LEAST bit overweight--how far would these stupid movie studios go?
Ed: And I'm sure the corsets helped, too! :-)
Dirk: Loved her since "Dead Again." My passion was cemented when I went back and re-watched a "Young Ones" episode that she was in (the "University Challenge" one)
The University Challenge episode also had Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry on Emma's team. Loved Emma's response to her only question, "I have a Porsche."
Sarah
She's always the best part in everything she's in...
Sarah: Yes, I loved the nasal "Porsche" line. I also loved it when Neil couldn't go to the bathroom and said "I'm going to have to wee on Lord Snot's head!"
BC: It's really true...I saw the "Much Ado About Nothing" that she did with Kenneth Branagh and was blown away by it.
DEAD AGAIN was the first thing I saw her in, too. I love that movie.
And I had no idea she was in an episode of THE YOUNG ONES. I need to rent that post haste.
I have them all on VHS (I pirated them off of Comedy Central when they showed it in the mid-1990s)...but they are available on Netflix, too!
