Let's move the national capitol to Chicago. We'll make Washington D.C. a museum. Central location, safe from offshore bombings, yet still on the water. Oh yes, Indiana went for Obama. See we are not all as dumb as people think. ed
I was a little worried around 6:00 or so...he was starting to lose Indiana and he was REALLY getting behind in Virginia.
Turns out he took both. I need to learn to be more faithful! :-)
Wish I had been in Chicago last night (and most others).
I wasn't even in Grant Park. I went to see a friend's show and had a Joans meeting (both in Andersonville). I heard the news coming out of the meeting, and the people in the bar across the street were cheering and screaming. I knew it was good news, but thought it was just a good state return. It was on the way home I heard on the car radio that Obama had won. I had my window down and actually shouted for joy. A man crossing the street at the corner was also shouting and pumping his arms in the air.
I've never seen so much spontaneous joy. Ever. I wish we could have MORE moments like that! And I hope we can remember to work together through all of the problems that confront us, because our President will need ALL of us to help him.
And this is one President that I'm happy to help.
This president will expect us to work hard. He believes in us.
