This is a novel approach to the gang problem. Some cities are now using lawsuits in an effort to curb gang violence.
I can only wonder at the logistics of it. I mean, who would be the registered agent for a gang? Do they incorporate in Delaware or something for tax purposes?
And who would want to be the sheriff's process server for these suckers?

You're a big city dude. Are gangs a problem? My small town has no such animal. I hear about big city gangs but figured they were exagerated.
They are very real...it's not as bad here as in L.A., but yes, there are gangs. It's worst on the West Side and the South Side (in the Englewood neighborhood where, ironically, my grandmother grew up). There's just so much poverty and lack of opportunity for kids in the city that violence is a sad reality.
