In Today's Issue of "No Shit, Sherlock" Magazine...

Did we really need an eccentric old billionaire to tell us this?

Yes, because Bush won't come clean about it.

Even Bernanke has admitted they may cut rates again...that's about the best indicator I've seen! (Well, that and the fact that our money isn't worth shit anymore...there's THAT, of course...)

Warren Buffay' as Opal Purdy GArdner Cortlandt called him, gave over a billion dollars to the children of Africa. His motive? I quote, "If this don't get me into heaven nothing will!" Unfortunately Mr. Buffay, God doesn't need your money. Your time may be better spent trying to make miniature Camels. Have them made in China don't help Americans find any work. "It is easier for a Camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven." motives Mr. Buffay it all comes down to motives. Ed

Good old Opal. I miss Dorothy Lyman, but have to say that Jill Larson adds a lot of "wisdom" to the character that wasn't there before.

Yes, the moneyed classes will continue to do as they please and the media will feed what they imagine to be a desperation on the rest of our parts to sit at the feet of the financial gurus for a one-second soundbite of wisdom. Somehow, it ain't worth it...

(Do you think they have Camels in heaven? If not, I'll switch to Pall Malls...)

Haha...Aaron you make a good point. I was raised in church and told that Alcohol and Tobacco use was a sin. Why? because it hurts your body. But from what they taught me, in heaven there is no sickness or disease. So, you catch my drift? If smoking and drinking in heaven doesn't affect the body at all then what is wrong with it there? John the Baptist never drank Alcohol or ate meat but Jesus said of his cousin, "John came neither eating nor drinking and they say he hath a Devil, the Son of Man came eating and Drinking, and they say, behold a man gluttonous and a winebibber..." I like to quote a line from one of my favorite movies: "Your church doesn't accept Gays or those who drink? I can't imagine heaven without either". (Latter Days) Ed
